Benjamin Joff came here from Russia in the 1700's. They spelled their name Joff. They could not speak english. The immigration couldn't understand, so they called them Eoff. Benjamin bought a Hotel in New York and made lots of money. Some of his children drifted into Searcy County. There are books written about them.
