I have had problems since i went to a new ISP with half the country unable to see it. Unfortunately.. I suspect it would not have been much help in this case. The Barnetts I have on file trace primarily back to David Barnett, who was part of the wagon train that brought many of the Bakers, Reves, and Grinders to the Buffalo/Tomahawk/Bear Creek district of Searcy County. Working though three wives he produced a large number of descendant. His seond wife was Sarah Jane Cross, but she was a younger woman than the one you describe and they produced one child, Noah, that I know of. It is possible that a brother of David's might have followed him over from Tennessee with a wife after the War, or that she was widowed back east and came west to be with family, but i just dont have any info on that.. You might check Wayne COunty and McMinn County Tenn., as Wayne County seems to have moved to Searcy Coounty en masse in the mid 1800s and McMinn was the origin of David Barnett. Other than that I will add this to my "history's mysteries" file unless one of those other genealogy crazed sorts out there has some ideas.
