Hi, I am doing some research on Mattie May O'Daniel, daughter of James and Sarah O'Daniel who married James P. Matlock. James, age 20 and Mattie May, age 17 are living with her parents in the 1900 census of Searcy County. Next door is an Elizabeth Matlock, widow (occupation "spinner") and her single daughter Melvina, age 22 (occupation "washer woman") . I am thinking this is James' mother. Does anyone know who James Matlock's parents were? In the 1900 census they are living in Priarie Township and James O'Daniel is 39 years old, his wife sarah is 40. Elizabeth Matlock is 44 years old (born 1856). Thanks, Ginny O'Neal
