    3. Here is what I have on Zadock Brewer and Mary Ann Brumley. ******************* Zadock Brewer & Mary Ann Brumley Zadock was born about 1797 in SC. He is in the Franklin County TN census in 1830. He is in the 1840 Itawamba County MS census with his name spelled Tedtick. Then in 1850 he is in the Tippah County MS census but the family is listed under Bruer. This is probably the original spelling of the name and it got changed to Brewer. The Bruer/Brewer family was almost certainly German. Land records of Tippah County, MS establish that Zadock sold land there to Jacob Graves in 1858. Zadock is in the 1860 Polk County AR census. Zadock died 1865 in Conway County AR. There is no proof of any kind but most Brewer researchers believe Zadock's father was John Brewer. Living next door to Zadock in both 1830 and 1840 is a John Brewer the right age to be Zadock's father. Also Zadock named one of his sons John. Mary Ann was born 1806 in TN. She was age 44 in the 1850 Tippah County MS census. For some reason Mary Ann does not appear in the 1860 census with Zadock although she was still living. She may have been away visiting family. Mary Ann was a Brumley but her parents are unknown . Mary Ann died in 1866 in Conway County AR. ******************* Also have info on Henry Counts who married Sally Brewer, daughter of Zadock and Mary Ann. Judy
