My ancestor was WILLIAM BOLDEN (Bolen/Bolling/Bowling, etc) In 1900 William was 81 and living in the household of his grandson, Reuben Bolden in Campbell Twp, Searcy Co. Reuben had been married in the town of Leslie. WILLIAM was not living in 1910 and I strongly suspect he died in or near Leslie during that decade, and would have likely been buried in Leslie Cemetery. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Dennis McCormick
If you'll look back at my 20 April 2001 email, Dennis, you'll find I covered all 18 volumes of the Searcy Co cemetery books by Ruby Lacy. She was a very thorough researcher. If there's a Bolden buried somewhere in SCAR and she didn't find him/her, it's probably because 1) they weren't buried in SCAR or 2) there is no headstone or 3) whatever inscription might have been on a headstone, it's no longer legible. If you'll remember, Reubin and his family were in Van Buren Co before his wife died before 1910 so there's a good chance his father, William, died there too and is also buried in the Eglantine area. Sometimes, Dennis, it's just impossible to find some of the data we'd like to have. Burial places here in the Ozarks is definitely one. Do let me know if you come up with anything, okay?
