Well, Cathy, I've been thru my two Baker databases, checked MCAR & SCAR records, checked several sources on the Internet, and I still can't come up with who Lucinda Baker was, let alone who her husband was. Matter of fact, I can't come up with a Lucinda Baker (as a daughter or a spouse) anywhere (other than yours) born before the 1870s and 1880s. There appear to be several Bakers in Searcy Co. that don't fit the William Baker family nor the Zebediah Baker family. I'm seriously beginning to think there's at least a third Baker family there. There's no Baker at all in the MCAR 1840 census. But, there is an 1840 Searcy Co census. The microfilm is at the MCAR Library, but I won't have access to it 'til more of this ice-cube weather goes away (our mail lady wrecked her truck this morning and had to go to the hospital so I'm not venturing out on the roads for a while). Maybe someone on the Searcy Co list has access to it. Sorry I couldn't be of help. I'll keep my eyes open just in case I trip over something, though.
