    3. I am sure there is some very good info on this web site, but like so many websites there is little or no documentation to back it up. In at least a couple of my family lines there is definitely some "extremely iffy" family history. It certainly cannot be backed up with proof and census records do not support it. Guess what I am saying is that we all need to do our our checking before we accept something as facts. Judy

Anyhow , I'll call Ronny and getcha some good directions, it's been a long dang time since I've been there. I'm going to Pindall the first week in June myself. Who in the family do you think took care of the burial business for George. For my Great Granpa Wm, it was my Granpa Charley even tho it was his father inlaw and he (Charley) always rather go to Marshall than Harrison any day. I think he got a kick going over the Buffalo River??? Laurie ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

    2. I know whatcha mean .. my great grandfather Wm. Orr had his land patent in Boone Co, but he was living in Newton Co. with some of his kids when he died. My cousin tried to get his death certificate from Newton Co and I tried Boone Co. and we both are empty handed. So my next move is to try Searcy Co. and if I were you, I would try there instead of Marion Co.. Crawford is in Boone Co., but just BARELY!! I've been there. It's back off on a side road before you get to Everton and you can't see it from the highway. I have a cousin that lives around the bend from Crawford Cemetery, we could probably hit it with a rock from his house .. I could try to reach him if you're wanting a picture or something, let me know. Warm regards, Laurie ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

    3. Hi Janie, Since there is also that other Shipman who died in the same county the day before, I wonder if they had a car accident. Or did they catch the beginning of the 'flu epidemic -- but I thought that would be more 1918 and 1919. 3. Sheryl, try Osage County Ok, or Pawhuska County OK, maybe. This is probably a long shot, but a LOT of people in Searcy County migrated to that part of OK for a while. I think this Manuel family is the one related to my Shipman/Ragland family. I know that Offie Manuel was married to Don Shipman (later than 1910 or so) and Nonie Belle Ragland was a Manuel by birth (or at least she was a Manuel before she married Cephus Ragland). Another thought: try the western counties of Arkansa--where Rogers and Siloam Springs are located.
