Surnames of people who owned land in Barbados in 1638 well worth looking at Kenneth
Some people are having trouble looking up the Tishomingo census. In the index find the page number of you family. They got to this site and find that page number. ftp://ftp.us-census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/ms/tishomingo/1840/ Judy
In looking back on the 1840 census for Tishomingo County MS I found a lot of Searcy County names. If you have family you cannot find in 1840 you might want to chek it out. it is on line at ftp://ftp.us-census.org/pub/usgenweb/census/ms/tishomingo/1840/index.txt Judy
Hi list Along with the Henry Counts family in the 1845 MS state census for Tishimingo County Wade Blasingame is listed. I am sure it is the same person who was in Searcy County later. If anyone is researching him I will be happy to provide details. Judy judy
I am doing research on the Williams surname from Searcy or surrounding counties that would have any connection to my lineage. I have gone back as far as my great great grandparents, who were William Williams b 18 Sep 1835 in TN, d. 25 Dec 1882 in Searcy Co., and Rebecca (Holman or Holliman) Williams b 1839 in KY d. 25 Aug 1922 both are buried old cemetery in Marshall. Would like to know their parents. Their son William "Billy" Williams was my great grandfather and if your family is connected, I would appreciate any data you have. Janie

Are there any Carroll Co., AR marriage records online? I am looking for William Easu/Eason Smith m. Diana Hutson ca 1840.
Searcy County marriage records before December 1880 were destroyed by fire. None are available on line to my knowledge. The records that were microfilmed by the LDS (1880-1923) have been published in book form available from OOCS publishers, who do have a web site. If you'll go to http://www.rootsweb.com/~armarion, scroll down to Home Pages for MCAR researchers, click, scroll down to North AR Family Tree Farm, click - you'll be at a site that has more Reeves data than you can imagine. What's there *should* be checked against assorted public records such as census etc., but it sure gives you info on where to go and what to look for. And, if you have a problem with anything, feel free to contact Steve Bemrich, the page owner. He's very helpful.
