Good thing you zapped it, Darline. It was the W32Badtrans@MM virus that created such a mess a couple of weeks ago on the AFHA list. I'm sure you're aware of all that back-and-forth hoop-la that went on for several days <groan>. Do yourself a favor and run your virus scan just to be on the safe side. And go to your "delete" box and delete that particular email again. Then reboot your system. This will ensure that you won't be infected by this particular email - nor will anyone else. (It's a sneaky little !@#$%^&, believe me!) I've made it a practice since I was first infected around 4 years ago never, never, ever to open an attachment. If I think it may be important, I ask that the sender find an alternative method of sending it, telling them that I simply do *not* do attachments. Kathy Hudson, the AFHA list owner, has been doing everything possible to get this cunningham1234 to quit sending emails and to clean up their system. So far, apparently no luck. Guess some folks simply will not read or listen or understand or something <sigh> Kathy monitors the AFHA list very closely so she'll have gotten your warning message, by the way. Yep, this William Shipman family sure is in Sugar Loaf Township in Marion Co AR in 1840. But they're not in MCAR in 1850 nor are they in Searcy Co in 1850 nor in MCAR in 1860 nor in Searcy Co in 1860. Because there's also a Sugar Loaf Township across the border in Carroll Co (and Boone Co after its creation in 1869), it's possible this family might be found there in 1850. It's equally possible this family could be in Taney Co MO 'cuz folks flip-flopped back and forth across White River back then. You might try Byron Shipman silver@southshore.com. His family has been in MCAR "forever." They descend from a William Shipman from Hamilton Co TN. Beth, I didn't see our Isaac Shipman in the file you sent. (second Shipman line for me). Hey, no wonder I am a little strange, a double dose of Shipman. Guess no one has ever connected our Jacob and Rebecca to anyone, huh? Let me know if they do. Thanks again, and forgive me if I had already sent you all the other stuff. Janie
