If there is anyone who knows the answer to this question I would love to know. My Clemons move to Arkansas sometimes after 1850. Jill M. CordoneGet more from the Web. BASKIN(S) and wife Mary Ann CARTER from Henderson CO Tennessee moved first to Conway Co Arkansas around 1850 then moved on to SEARCY and STONE Counties. They lived near Marshall, and Isaac's daughter Margaret Ann Baskin married John Henry WEDGE. John WEDGE purchased land in WATTS Arkansas, but railroad bought him out. Some of his children think they were born in CRAWFORD Co. Ar. but this is uncertain as their father died in 1899. His widow Margaret remarried James Scroggins, a confederate soldier from Crawford Co. Margaret is said to be 1/4 cherokee. The father of Mary Ann CARTER was Isaac CARTER who married Dorcas BRADSHAW in Sampson Co N. C. and they should be full blood cherokees. Isaac has a son Felix "Henry" BASKIN who married Mary E. Flowers and lived in Sulpher Springs Twp of Searcy Co.. Their son John married Beulah DAVID, he died in El Centro CA. Another son William I. Baskin married Susanna Fisher, he died at Braggs, Muskogee, Ok in 1899. A daughter Mary Jane BAskin married Thomas Fisher in 1880. I have much details on the BASKIN, WEDGE AND COLLATERIAL LINES. Would love to share information. Wanda WEDGE GREATHOUSE wgreath760@aol.com

    3. Errol, Thank you for the info it helps to know how the parents are on the people who married into the family. I do have the names of the children of James Alfred Radford and Mary Etta "Ettie" Willis (b. Jul 1867 MO - d. 31 Mar 1958 MO). Ettie is the daughter of of James C. Willis and Mary A. Howard. Some of the Willis' came to AR settling in Searcy Co., White Co., and Jackson Co. They married into the Giffin and Vanoven families. You wouldn't happen to have any of these families married into the Sutterfield's, would you? The other surname that come in is Goad. I have been researching this line of my family for two years and finally got the first break about a month ago, really would like to find more but find it hard to locate people in AR. Any advice you might have would be appreciated? Thank you again so much for the info and if I have any other questions on the Sutterfield family, may I call on you? Melissa in TX

    3. Hi Mr. Lewis, My wife descends from James Odell's daughter, Margaret, who married Josephus Wallace in 1879. I was over @ the Landis cemetary Saturday & I saw the nice marker for Peter Sutterfied. I was wondering IF you could give me your best guess WHICH stone would be James'???? I know James is buried near Peter, but, there's only a field stone or two nearby to mark his grave....would you guess to the right facing Peter's marker? or to the left??? Thanks!!! 3. Just out of curiosity, were any of these Sutterfield's in MO. More specifically, Reynolds Co., MO. The reason I ask is because I just recently came accross some info on my Willis line in MO and found that one of the girls married a James Radford and on the census his mother Alzada is living with them. Then a cousin sent me some pictures of the family that he had aquired while in Reynolds Co from a Mr. Sutterfield and one was of Alzada Radford with a note that her maiden name was Sutterfield. I just thought that if this is someone that is kin to you that you might like a copy of her picture. I don't know her husband's name as of yet, but it would be nice to know if you could help in that.
