    2. I am Sandra Rylee, daughter of Anna Helen Crisel, granddaughter of Walter Crisel and Alice Josephine Glenn. I have some crisel info, but I'm not sure if it is what you need or want. I'm trying to do some research myself on the Crisel's and my fathers side of the family (Rylee). My grandfather Edward James Rylee and Alice Novela Newton were married in Arkansas. E-mail me at "sbamsandy@aol.com" and I will help if I can. I'm moving back to California, from Tennessee, in a few weeks. If I don't reply right away don't worry I will in the future. My computer will be disconnected for a little while.

    2. Hi Karen. I am posting a message every place I see your name. I know it was a few years ago when you put the message on the list but I hope I can help. I have hit a brick wall with Jackson Wesley Smalley so when I saw your note I had to reply. Frederick Howell Smalley was one of their sons. He had a brother named Lester. Jackson Wesley Smalley married Ellen E. Clark 11 Mar 1886,in Van Buren, Crawford Co., Ark. Fred was born 1 Feb 1889. Other siblings were William, George (who died at approx. 14 yrs.), John (who I believe died in Phoenix,) and a girl, Myrtle, who died in infancy. I don't have any dates or anything before their marriage and have hit a brick wall with the Smalleys, til I saw your message. Maybe you have more information by now. I hope. I will be waiting to hear from you to see if you get this message. Thanks, Norma

    1. [ARSEARCY] Geneology
    2. My name is Nathan Rose, my fathers name is Lester Rose, his father and mother were, Commodore Rose and Lona (Norman). Commodores father and mother were, Robert Lee Rose and Mary Jane (Treat). Lonas father and mother were, John Newton Norman and Eliza (Bradshaw) My mothers name is Clara, I thought. The reason I say that is, I just got a copy of her marriage license and her name was spelled Clerie. Her father and mother were, Thomas Jay Andrew Clark and Francis (Sutterfield). Thomas Jay Andrew Clarks father and mother were Perry Caldwell Clark, Sarah Jane (Sutterfield). Francis Sutterfields mother and father were Perry Moore Sutterfield and Mary Martin. I've been told that I'm also related to the Pasmores on my mothers side. I would appreciate any information on any of the lines listed above. I'm also very interested in my Native American connections. My e-mail address is: natelrose@aol.com Thank you in advance for your help. Sincerely, Nathan Rose

    3. Don't know whether this will be useful, but I found this yesterday at the library. "Searcy Co Marriages 1881-1895" by Ruby Lacy. James Turner aged 27 of Bear Creek m SCAR 17 Aug 1881 Sarah Brown aged 21 of Bear Creek. Newton Reeves aged 28 of Marshall m SCAR 26 Oct 1890 Mrs Sarah Turner aged 30 of Marshall. It concerns me a little that Sarah Brown is not mentioned as "Mrs" when she married James Turner since you say she was married before this. Usually a widow will retain the "Mrs" as well as her deceased husband's surname, but a divorced woman usually not only drops the "Mrs" but often reverts to her maiden surname. I also find it interesting that the only Turner families in the 1880 census are in Richland and Sulphur Springs and that the only James Turner listed is 8 years old. Wonder where this one came from??? In my judgment, if Alice J Reeves were born after 26 October 1890, she would definitely be the child of both Newton and Sarah. However, if she were born before 26 October 1890, she might or might not be the child of both Newton and Sarah.
