Good Morning! Here is what I found very long obit. W. G. Wall. William G. Wall, a widely known and old and highly respected citizen, died at his home in Marsdhall at 1 o'clock Friday morning, Dec 18, 1914. "Uncle Bud" had been a sufferer from tuberculosis for several months, which finally terminated in his death. The remains were laid to rest in the Marshall Cemetery, the funeral services being held at the Christian Church, conducted by Rev. J. M. Butler of Maumee, and the funeral was under the auspices of the Independant Order of the Odd Fellows. Deceased had been a consistent member of the Christian Church for thirty-three years. Mr Wall was born in Wayne Co., TN on Jan 2, 1850, and had he lived until tomorrow, the 2d inst., would have reached the age of 65 years. At the age of 23 he came to Arkansas and two years leter was married to Emily GREENHAW, the wedding taking place at the farm house of James Greenhaw on Buffalo River, in the west part of the county. Thirty=three years ago he jioned the Christian Church in Marshall, being baptized in Brush Creek by Rev, B. Rose. he has remained an active and devoted member of the church ever since. He is also a member of the Odd Fellows lodge. Mr Wall is survived by his wife, Mrs Emily Wall, and by an adopted daughter, Mrs Lillie Ledbetter of Pyatt. Other relatives of the deceased are L. H. Wood, a brother, of near St Joe, T. M. Gibson, a half brother of Marshall, and also three half sisters as follows, Mrs Tilda Anderson , of Choctaw, Ar., Mrs Emma Crow, of Valley Springs, AR; and Mrs Tennie Martin, of Pope Co., AR Mrs Anderson was here to attend the funeral. Since coming to Arkansas Mr. Wall had been a resident of Searcy Countty all the time except 8 years spent in Marion Co., and two years in Boone County. Friday March 28, 1918 Mrs Ethel Morris Mrs Ethel Morris, beloved wife of Mr I. C. Morris, died at the family home just east of town, on Sunday evening, March 24 at 10 o'clock, after a lingering illness. The funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 11 am. at the Christian Church, Rev W. D. Deatherage, assisted by Rev. E.E. Davidson , of Leslie, conducting the services, After the touching services at the church the funeral cortege wound its way to the cemetery, where interment took place in the presence of a large circle of sorrowing relatives and friends. (I'm going to skip a paragraph that really doesn't say much) She ran the journey of life in 36 years. Mrs Morris was 36 years and 2 days old. She is survived by her husband and three childrne, Johnnie, Mildred and I. C. Jr., her mother Mrs Mary Jane Jackson, five sisters, Mrs. T. M. Gibson, Mrs Sell Gibson, Mrs.A. F. Lindsey, Mrs james Sutterfield, and Mrs. W. A. Lindsey and one brother S. T. Jackson, all of Marshall, besided a number of other relatives and a large circle of friends. Mrs Emily Wall, commonly known as "Aunt Em Wall" died Thrusday night June 16, 1921 at the home of T. M. Gibson on Rose Hill. She as a member of the Christian Church ane was known and loved throughout Searcy county for her beautiful character. And she was a friend to all. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. O. Ledbetter of Pyatt, AR interment took place Friday afternoon in the Marshall Cememtery in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives. Truly the world lost a precious friend when "Aunt Em" passed away.
