It isn't too late to get your name in for the Ancestor fair (but it is almost). There is still room at Dale Hanks seminars on writing your family tree/memoirs Friday afternoon. And there is still room at the Mixer-Dinner, 6:30 Friday night. AND of course there is always room for one more at the "Swap Meet" Saturday where folks share their family trees and meet real live kinsfolk. Everything but the Mixer-Dinner is at the Civic Center in MARSHALL. There will be signs on the highway. Check it all out at: www.ancestorfair.us Hope to see a big turnout this year. JJJ

In the homestead papers for my GGrandfather his name is spelled several different ways. I'm assuming that there were lots of people that couldn't read or write to correct the mistakes. Lynn & Jan James <[email protected]> wrote: Is there a Thomas R. Jones that lived in Searcy Co.? I sent away for land records and half show a Thomas R. Jones and the other half of the papers say it's Thomas R. James. He's born about 1878. It fits my Thomas R. James but the paperwork states he had 2 children and Thomas James had 3. Kathy are you going to the Snowball School Reunion? Cathy Conn [email protected] wrote: I will be there this Memorial Day and will take pics for you. There are several Goldsmith family graves, all in a row in Dongola Cem. My Grandfather William Wiley Elliott always cleaned the Goldsmith graves every year. I never ask him what our connection was, if any. I do know the Elliotts and Goldsmiths came from Hardin Co. Tn. I now try to put a flower on each of these graves in memory of my Grandfather.
