I have a feeling that is correct. In a message dated 10/25/2010 8:06:22 P.M. Central Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: Barbara H. R. said....... "Not sure which one was nicknamed Chuckie". I'm not sure where this came from, but this is what I have: Alberta 'Chuckie' Venoice Oller Barb Griffith ________________________________ From: "[email protected]" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Mon, October 25, 2010 7:10:45 PM Subject: Re: [ARSCOTT] Albert Oller Your Mary Augusta Oller Yates was the daughter of Byron Oller and Sarah Henson. Sarah's sister Julia married my Uncle/Cousin William Smith Jones. When I mentioned Millie Ann Oller - who was Harrison Oller's sister - she was also Williams Smith's mother. So he was my 1/2 uncle through his mother. His father Thomas Benton Jones was Millie's second husband and my 3rd great granduncle so through him William Smith was my cousin. Your Byron Oller was the brother of Arthur Lorraine "Raine" Oller (my cousin) who married Mary Adeline Hall. Mary's first husband James Griffith was son of Millie Ann Oller and her first husband Christopher Columbus Griffith. Just purely selfishness on my part - but would you check and see if your uncle Calton knows of any Oller photos. I have collected a lot which I will share, but always looking for more. Albert and Dollie had the following children that I know about: ..... 1 Albert Oller b: 07 May 1895 in Arkansas, d: 28 Jan 1965 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas ..... + Dollie Harris b: 22 Oct 1895 in Scott County, Arkansas, m: 07 Sep 1916 in Scott County, Arkansas, d: Sep 1987 in Ft. Oller, daughter of Raine Oller (mentioned above) and Mary Adeline Hall Griffith Oller. One of their other children was Myrtle Oller and I do have several photo's of her. Myrtle died young. Her husband was NIcholas O'Nale whose second marriage produced John O'Nale who recently passed away. John wrote many books about Scott County History. Albert and Augusta were paternal first cousins according to my data. Their father's Virgil and Byron were brothers. V. J. I'm uncertain about. Thank you so much for your reply. He said that when his mother, Augusta Oller Yates, was very sick and in the hospital in 1936, my grandfather, George Willie Yates, borrowed Albert's 1934 Chevrolet to go up to see Augusta in the hospital. He recalled that possibly Albert had two sons and two daughters. He remembered someone named Chuckie Oller, who he thought was either Albert's daughter or daughter-in-law. He also thought Albert had a son who died as a teenager, and he remembered the name V.J. Oller as possibly being Albert's son. He thinks Grady Monroe married one of the daughters. Calton's mother, Augusta, was related to Albert, possibly a second cousin. I wonder if maybe my dad, Albert Yates, might have been named for him. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Friday, October 22, 2010 10:36 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [ARSCOTT] Albert Oller Dear ARSCOTT members: If you are connected to Albert or research him - I would love to have any info you've collected and be generous to share. He was the grandson of Harrison Oller, a brother to my 3rd great grandmother Millie Ann Oller Griffith Jones. Albert was married to Dollie Harris. They lived at Nola in Scott County. Albert was born in 1895 and died in 1965. He was a Scott County Judge. Any help would be appreciated.
