I don't know if Alsey/Alsy etc. is a nickname for Alice but I have an ancestor who was listed interchangably sometimes as Alice and other times as Alsey in old court documents. Seems like I even found her once as Elsie but I'm not positive of that? Anyway, my Alsey/Alice were definitely the same person.
