I am new subscriber and here is my family and my problem. I am trying to find the parents of my ggrandfather, Daniel Henry Minor/Miner, b. 17 May 1856, m, Mary A. Ledbetter on 26 Jan. 1876 in Bowen Twp. Madison CO, AR. according to the 1870 Madison CO census they were living as neighbors. Mary was 12 years and Daniel was 13 years old. Daniel was living with G.W.Smith. This is the earliest record I can find for Daniel. I have traced him to Scott CO after thier marriage. I think they had several Children in that town and around Poteau and Wister. Folk lore has him with a brother. I don`t know his name either. Maybe he came to Scott CO with his brother. If so I may find the name of the parents through him. I have been working on this for years and have come against a brick wall. Folk lore also says Daniels father married a widow left her to return to England. Not a very good father but these things do happen. I hope to find Daniels father some day and am asking for any help from anyone who reads about my plight. Thanks for listoning. Marily Minor Eberle
