    3. Linda, I think you misunderstood what Faye and I were talking about copying: not anything from the book. We were advocating sending copies of the files themselves, once someone has obtained them from National Archives, either to the public library or the local genealogical society (or both.) The book is no doubt copyrighted; the information in those files are public records. Sorry, I should have been clearer in my first post.
