Living "next door" is: Thomas Prewitt 40 SC Farmer ---/$15 William 18 MS Farmer Joel 10 MS And at the next house, is: Jane Pruitt 60 TN ---/$150 Lewis 19 TN Farmer Elizabeth 17 AL Plesent Prewitt owned land on this 1860 census; have you checked the Land Entry records to see if he might have homesteaded? There is a link to these records on the Scott Co. webpage. An Elizabeth Prewett is listed on the 1865 Scott Co. Tax List as a Non Resident landowner. Unfortunately, the page was torn and we were unable to get a full copy of the legal description of her land, nor the total acres owned. If I were you, I would check the Land Entry records and hope it was a Homestead! Please let me know what you find. Delaine
