Hello! Welcome to the list. My Civil War ancestor is my Great-Grandfather J.W. Combs. He lived in Scott County from 1880 until his death in 1911. He lived at Cauthron, and later at Bates. He served in the Confederate army as a member of "G" Company, 2nd Regiment of the Mississippi Infantry Volunteers. I recently received a copy of his Confederate pension records from the Arkansas History Commission, which I found quite interesting.
