Is anyone working on this family who was living in Cedar Township of Scott Co. in 1900: James Grigsby, 20, of Cedar Creek was married to Miss Janey Holsomback, 18, of Cedar Creek on 1 January 1891 (Book B, page 29.) James M. Grigsby, Jr. was born April 1871 to James M. Grigsby and Catherine Rosanna Herrin. Catherine was the daughter of John Herrin and Sarah Ann Martin. Martha Jane Holsomback was born November 1872 in Texas, the daughter of David L. and Martha J. Holsomback who are found on the 1880 Scott County census living at Cedar Creek. The children of James M. and Martha Jane Grigsby as found on the 1900 and 1910 census: 1Susie Zippie Grigsby, born September 1892. Zippie Grigsby, 18, of Cedar Creek was married on 2 July 1911 to H.D. Coker, 23, of Cedar Creek (Book D, page 211.) Huda D. Coker was the son of Tilford D. and Maggie Coker and he was back home with his parents at the time of the 1920 census, divorced. He later married Ada Larimore Cornelius. No further record has been found for Susie Zippie Grigsby. 2Archie A., who is listed as Arlie D. Grigsby on the 1910 census, was born February 1894. No further information. 3E.M. Grigsby was born 6 May 1895 and died 11 July 1896. She is buried at Cedar Creek Cemetery. 4Fannie B. Grigsby, born April 1899. No further information. 5Oscar L. Grigsby, born c1901. No further information. 6Delia V. Grigsby, born c1903. No further information. 7Infant son, born 29 October 1905 and died 3 November of the same year. He is buried at Cedar Creek Cemetery. 8Cora Grigsby, born c1908. No further information. The James Grigsby family is not found on the 1920 Scott County census and likely moved on.
