Eight Scott Co. pension files have been uploaded to the Scott Co. Archives so far. I want to thank Cindy McKean & Shirley Denney who have contributed several and also Terri Walker & Betty Leeper for their contributions. Also the others who have contacted me and will be contributing to this effort. These files are valuable not only to the descendants of the pension applicants but to others trying to establish the residence of a particular person at a certain time period in Scott Co: many, many afffidavits are included in these pension files and several were from that difficult 1890s time period. Please let me hear from any of the rest of you who may have Scott Co. pension applications for the Civil War period or earlier and would like to have them made available to other researchers via the USGenWeb Archives.
