I was reading the land records of Scott Co. and ran across my Thomas Barnett having 80 acres of land 3N and 31W in 1875. Lower down it listed his daughter Lucinda Staton as having the same land except she had 120 acres filed in 1886. Could she have inherited 80 acres of this land and bought the rest or could he have accumulated more land that isn't registered and left it all to her. I'm not familiar with land records and there doesn't seem to be a Will listed for a Barnett. Does anyone know about these things and can help me. Sharon
