Hi, I want to thank all of you who replied to my Jessie Hunt query. One very useful bit of information I learned was about a book that has been published of Yell County newspaper abstracts for the time period 1875 - 1879. Faye Greenwood Sandy compiled these records from microfilm and tells me there are many, many items in it from Scott County. A few issues from 1887 and 1888 are the earliest Scott County newspapers I've been able to find.
