Hi, Charlene Holland has graciously volunteered to take care of putting the current Scott County obituaries in the archives at ARGenWeb. These will be "up" in a week or so and we'll let you know the URL. Do any of you subscribe to the newspaper at Mansfield? Or know of any other Scott Co. newspaper that is being published? The only two I know of are the ones published weekly at Waldron and at Mansfield. If anyone gets the Mansfield paper, would you be willing to clip the obituaries from it? Please let me know. All of the available older obituaries for Scott County have been transcribed and published by the Scott Co. Historical & Genealogical Society. Those are from about 1887 to 1959. There are many gaps in what is available, but all of these are indexed and I will do lookups from them. If it's a short obit I can send it to you via Email; if it's too long to retype you may have to write the Society for a copy of it. They will send copies for a SASE and the cost of the copy (25c.)
