Delaine and Mike, Actually, I did not find a Gravelly in Scott Co., but there is one just across the border in Yell County. It is called Gravelly Hill, next to Dutch Creek, Bluffton and Ions Creek. However, Yell county was formed in 1840 from Pope and Scott Counties...and Scott was formed in 1833 from Crawford and Pope...didn't see a Gravelly there either. Gravelly Hill in Yell Co., was created in 1878 from part of Upper LaFave. Upper LaFave was created in 1842. Parts to Rover in 1866. Part to Gravelly Hill in 1878. Name changed to Bluffton between 1880-90. Is this confusing...or what !! My husband's grandfather was born in Gravel Hump...and I have NO IDEA where that is !! Anyone heard of it?
