Hi all A couple of weeks ago I put in a query about a photo that I wanted to identify. I want to thank all the folks that responded, and took the time to send the picture along to friends or relatives to help identify the photo. I have been told that it was the Silas Shruggs Stacey home, store and post office in Marble City, in Newton County ( At the time, I hadn't known if the picture was taken in Newton or Scott County). And it was taken ca 1885. Marble City was a little ways above Jasper, and no longer exists, although Marble Falls is still there. It is located where Dogpatch USA is. Again thank you all.
