Hi I am looking for information about the James H. Kennon family below. I found him in Scott County in the 1910 census. This census indicated that this couple had 14 children with 9 still living. In 1910 there were still six sons in the household, listed below. The first child listed, Pearl Ann Kennon, may be a daughter of this family but this has not been proven. I believe this family may have been in Yell County in 1900. James H. Kennon was born about 1863 in Alabama, and according to the 1910 census his father was born in Alabama, and his mother born in Tennessee. He married Mollie (surname unknown) about 1883. According to the 1910 census this was his first marriage and they had been married 27 years. Children of James Kennon and Mollie are: i. Pearl Ann Kennon (It is not proven, that Pearl is a child of this family.), born October 17, 1887 in Arkansas, and according to 1920 census her father was born Tennessee, and mother born Arkansas. She is first found in the 1910 Census of Dutch Creek, Yell County with first husband and in 1920 she is found with her second husband in Hunt Twp #190/193 in Scott County. She died December 8, 1982 in Scott County, Arkansas, and is buried at Union Hill Cemetery. She married (1) Golden B. Hunt December 23, 1906 in Scott County, Arkansas (Scott County Marriage Book C, page 500. He was 19, she was19 and they were both from Blue Ball). She married (2) Clement E. Wade February 8, 1919 in Scott County, Arkansas (Scott County Marriage Book E, page 147). The next six children were found with John H. and Mollie Kennon in the 1910 census in Scott County ii. Vernie A. Kennon, born about 1893 and died in late 1970's. He married Nora Jones August 3, 1912 in Scott County Arkansas by J.C. Oglesbee, M.G.(Scott County Marriage Book D, Page 300. He was 19 of Gravelly and she was 16 of Scott County, probably from Nola.). Nora Jones was born February 1897 and died in the late 1960's Her parents were William Smith"Bill" Jones and Julia Henson iii. Charles E. Kennon, born about 1895. iv. Lester Kennon, born about 1900. v. Roscoe Kennon, born about 1902. vi. James R. Kennon, born about 1906. vii. Ople Kennon, born about 1909. Who where their other children? Was Pearl actually a daughter of this family, and if not who were her parents? What happened to these people after 1910? Charlene Holland
