Hi all, It has been reported that queries posted on another Arkansas County's webpage and also on their mailing list, the people posting the queries have been contacted by someone offering them information for a fee. The USGenWeb and ARGenWeb policy is that information is completely FREE and there are no charges involved. If any of you posting a query to the Scott County ARGenWeb page or to this list should be contacted by anyone asking for a fee, please forward that Email to me. The only instance where compensation might be involved is if you ask one of the volunteers to send you hard copies of data, they should be compensated for the cost of the photocopies and postage.
