Thanks to Bob Foster rlfost@campusnet.org I've just added the Revolutionary War pension & bounty land warrant information for George Coughran to the Scott County webpage. So far as I know, he is the first Revolutionary War veteran to be found in Scott County. He is listed on the 1850 census here as George Cathern, age 91, from Virginia. His file will be found on the "Civil War" page at http://www.rootsweb.com/~arscott/scott.htm On another note, those of you researching the northern area of Scott County - Belva Township and Tomlinson Township, there is a wonderful new webpage with a lot of information about the communities of Lucas and Ione and the people who resided there.
