    1. New Book
    2. Hello everyone, I bought a new book the other day, "Factory Creek, The People, The Place, and The Times. A Social and Community History" by Shirley Ann Hollis. Lots of pictures and information in this book. Factory Creek is in Wayne County, Tennessee, but there are a lot of surnames which I have also seen in Scott County. My Hollis ancestors came from Wayne County Tennessee to Stoddard County Missouri to Scott County Arkansas. Not too much of a stretch that others from Wayne County came with them. Some of the surnames in the book: Adams, Andrews, Austin, Avery, Bedford, Bennett, Bivens, Blair, Blankenship, Blanton, Brady, Brewer, Brison/Bryson, Bromley, Bumpass, Butler, Calton, Cannon, Caperton, Casteel, Chapman, Clay, Clayton, Cole, Copeland, Creecy/Creasy, Crews, Daniel, Darnell, Davis, Dial, Dixon, Dugger, Duren, Foster, Fowler, Franklin, Gallaher, Gambrell, Gobbell/Gobble, Gray, Griggs, Hanback, Hardin, Hill, Hollis, Horton, Huckaba, Johnston, Jordan, Keeton, Kelley/Kelly, Kilburn, Kilpatrick, Kimbrell, Kimbro, Lay, Lee, Lindsey, Long, Luker, Lutts (pronounced Loots), Lynn, Matney, McCrory, McGee, McGlamery, McLaren, Melton, Moore, Morgan, Morris, Morrison, Murphy, Nelson, North, Odle, Old, Perry, Phillips, Prince, Ramsey, Ray, Ricketts, Rinks, Robertson, Russ, Smith, Springer, Stockard, Story, Stricklin, Stults/Stutts, Thornton, Todd, Trimmer, Tucker, Turman, Weaver, Welch, Wilbanks, Wisdom, Woodard, Worthen.
