Hi It has been awhile since I posted this about my great grandfather. Any information on him or his family would be greatly appreciated. He is my "brick wall", as I have been unable to trace who is parents are. He may have had a sister, NANCY A. MORROW, who married JAMES W."JIM" JONES, JR., brother of MELVINA JONES. There was also an orphaned nephew, ISAAC MORROW, which indicates that there was also a brother, but his name is unknown. There was an EDWARD MORROW, born in Indiana, in Scott County in the early 1900's who may have been related, perhaps even his brother. I would appreciate any information on this family. Thanks so much WILLIAM PRESTON MORROW was born 2/1857 in Indiana, and died 3/29/1929 in Scott County, Arkansas, and is buried at Parks Cemetery at Nola. His parents are unknown, but they are believed to have been born in Indiana (according to census records of W.P.’s). He married MELVINA JONES 1880-1882. She was daughter of JAMES W. JONES and LOUVICY JAMES. They were married before the Waldron Courthouse burned so there are no marriage records, consequently whereabouts of marriage is unknown. Children of William Morrow and Melvina Jones are: i. SAMUEL FRANKLIN3 MORROW, b. 8/1882, Scott County Arkansas; d. Unknown, Texas; m. MILLIE ANN JONES, 11/15/1903, Scott County Arkansas. She was the daughter of daughter of WILLIAM SMITH "BILL" JONES and JULIA HENSON. Frank and Millie Morrow moved to Harlingen, Texas between 1904 and 1914. They had six sons. ii. ALICE C. MORROW, b. 12/27/1884, Scott County, Arkansas; d. 12/20/1970, Scott County, Arkansas; m. JACOB DOLPHIN HALE, 10/31/1901, Scott County, Arkansas. He was the son of JOHN HALE and MARY WILLIAMS. They had one son. iii. ELLA (LOU ELLA) MORROW, b. 10/12/1886, Scott County, Arkansas; d. 2/29/1972, Scott County, Arkansas; m. ALBERT JOSLIN, Abt 1905, Arkansas or Oklahoma. He was the son of son of JIM JOSLIN and MARGARET FARR. They had two daughters. iv. BENJAMIN ALLEN MORROW, b. 6/20/1888, Scott County, Arkansas; d. 4/03/1974, Tulsa, Oklahoma, buried Parks Cemetery at Nola; m. OLLIE CLEMENTINE HARRIS, 9/01/1907, Scott County, Arkansas. she was the daughter of daughter of ROBERT M. HARRIS and LAURAH BELLE JOURNEY. They had five children v. MOLLIE S. MORROW, b. 2/02/1893, Scott County, Arkansas; d. 11/16/1960, Scott County, Arkansas; m. GOVERNOR MITCHELL, Bef 1918. His parents are unknown. They had at least one son. I am also interested in finding information on the parents of GOVERNOR MITCHELL, who married their youngest daughter. Charlene
