Some of those mixed up ages of children should indicate that they are indeed neices and nephews not their own children: 1850 Scott County, Arkansas census report JONES, John age 40 NC, Delila age 40 NC, Mary J. age 16, John L. age 5, Martha E. age 3, Jesse D. age 1-1/12, VAILS, Mary E. age 1, Dwelling 5, Hickman Township, Scott County, Arkansas.
