    3. Lynne maybe this 1850 census report of your JONES family will help unscramble some of the children. Some of those mixed up ages of children should indicate that they are indeed neices and nephews not their own children: 1850 Scott County, Arkansas census report JONES, John age 40 NC, Delila age 40 NC, Mary J. age 16, John L. age 5, Martha E. age 3, Jesse D. age 1-1/12, VAILS, Mary E. age 1, Dwelling 5, Hickman Township, Scott County, Arkansas.
