HI, I have struggled for years trying to tie all the Jones together. According to family tradition, all the Jones in early Scott County who came from Alabama were somehow related. My earliest Jones is G. W. (George Washington) Jones from Brawley (Jones Creek). He was born in Marshall County, Alabama in 1826. According to Scott County books, he had two brothers, Johnnie and Calvin. Does anyone have these men in their family lines? Also there is a John Jones with wife Delilah in the 1860 Brawley Township, and A. (Alexander) H. Jones and wife Harriet; and James M. Jones with wife Melinda; does anybody have any ideas or clues as to what happened to these families. I can't seem to find them after the 1860 census. I would appreciate any help or clues in trying to tie all the Joneses together. Thanks Lynne Bates Skiatook, Ok
