Hi All, Sue Acruff whose Email address is JVILLE88@aol.com will do lookups from a book she owns: "Western Arkansas Death Record Index, 1914-1923" published by Arkansas Research, 1996. I haven't seen the book but evidently it covers the counties of Crawford, Franklin, Johnson, Logan, Montgomery, Polk, Pope, SCOTT, Sebastian and Yell. As a lookup volunteer for several counties myself, may I suggest we don't overload her with requests, but rather ask for only a few at a time. And please remember to thank her for her time and effort on your behalf. That's what makes it all so worthwhile to volunteers. If anyone on this list is familiar with this book, will you please tell the rest of us just what it is? I suspect it's an index to death certificates for that time period, but I'm not at all certain.
