Delaine, I am hoping you can help with my TURNER surname who I find living with Joel Hisaw as head of household and Mahaley Turner Hisaw was Mahaley's mom, Permela W. Turner and her two sisters, Malissa and Permela E. Turner. I find them on the 1860 Census in Fayette County, AL.. I am assuming that Permela's husband and Mahaley's Dad must have died and it may have occurred in Fayette County. Have heard 'rumors' that his name was Elisha. Where should I start to look for probate records for this family?
