I enjoyed all your postings to this list yesterday and hope some of you reaped some benefits. Sounded like a few of you at least found family connections? I was intrigued by Shirley Denney's question about probate records and am hoping someone can provide some insight into the probate procedure in Arkansas and/or Scott County. I've had a great deal of success finding useful information in probate records from other states. Specifically, Alabama, where I've found wonderful, detailed family information in Petitions to Sell Real Estate and other records that are part of the probate process. I've never had any luck at all finding anything of this nature in Arkansas, but perhaps it's only because I don't know where to look? Hopefully someone on this list has more experience with this type of researching in Arkansas and can give the rest of us some information. Delaine Edwards ------------------------------
