    1. Boultinghouse/Braun/Brown/Hon/Stuart
    2. Jerrell & Susan Blackmon
    3. I've been researching the family of Capt. John Boultinghouse and related families (includes Braun/Brown, Stuart and Hon) for 23 years. Last year and early this year I published two books on this family. "A History of the Boultinghouse Family" and "A Collection of Civil War era Letters". Is anyone else researching this family? I'm trying to gather information on the more current generations but always interested in the early ones too. Susan www.geocities.com/~susanblackmon

    1. FRUEN/DICKERSON
    2. I am especially hung up on the FRUEN line. (And this is my maiden name!) I found Cordelia DICKERSON, widow with 3 children in Monroe Co AR on the 1860 census. She married Joseph FRUEN in 1861 in Monroe Co. By 1870, they were still in Monroe. By 1880, they were in Yell Co. I lose track of Joseph at this point. I also do not know what became of the Dickerson children: Josephine, Evaline and Calvin. Josephine at age 26 is still with Cordelia and Joseph in 1880. The other two are not listed. William Edward Fruen, Joseph and Cordelia's son born abt 1872, is on the 1910 census for Scott Co. Cordelia dies in 1919 in Wadron, Scott Co. The obit made no mention of Joseph. Will Ed died in 1944, when I was only a year old. (my grandfather). Georgia Aeverman

    3. Hi Do you all remember old stories your grandma used to tell you, or did you, like my cousins and I, sit around at night as kids and tell ghost stories? Recently my sister and I were talking about the past and how we used to do that. She remembered that our Grandma Morrow used to tell us about "highpockets", and "if you're not careful, highpockets will get you". Does anyone out there remember or know where that expression comes from? Thanks much Charlene

    2. Jim Newman
    3. Looking for information on Friederich and Nancy Newman. They had two sons, Will and Jim. Will was born in 1871 and Jim was born in 1873. Nancy, Jim and Will are buried in lower center point cemetery near Hon in Scott Co. Rumor has it that Friederich is buried in Bloodsworth Cemetery near Ione. Betty Leeper was kind enough to send me information on Friederich's citizenship records which indicate that he immigrated from Germany in 1848 at the age of 15, and that he received his citizenship in Philadelphia in 1860. (Also that he spelled his last name "Niemann" at that time). I am particularly interested in the cause of death of Friederich, and the year in which it happened. Also any previous marriages involving Friederich or Nancy, Nancy's maiden name, and whether either of the two had any brothers or sisters in this area. Thanks, Jim Newman anks, Jim Newman =20

    3. This has nothing to do with email. It is the purchasing of postage electronically on your computers. You get software that will dial into the USPS and order so much postage. The software then will print out a postal permit for the amount of postage you need. This eliminates having to go to the post office to buy your stamps. Harvey -----Original Message----- From: ARSCOTT-L-request@rootsweb.com [mailto:ARSCOTT-L-request@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of S. W. Smith Sent: Tuesday, June 15, 1999 8:29 AM To: ARSCOTT-L@rootsweb.com Subject: SB602 I hate to take your time with legislative matters. It appears there is a senate bill, SB602, that has a provision to add a surcharge to email. I have not read the bill, but have sent for a copy. It probably wouldn't hurt to find out more about the bill and contact our Congressmen if this bill contains language that will make our research too costly for many of us to continue. S. A. Smith

    2. Delaine Edwards
    3. Hi, I hope someone who has visited the Arkansas History Commission can answer a question for me? I've prepared an index of the Scott Co. 1911 Census of Confederate Veterans for the webpage. No, I'm not going to ask anyone to do lookups. :) What I need to know is - I understand the questionaires from this enumeration are on file at the History Commission. Can researchers obtain copies by writing or visiting there? No need posting the index if people are unable to obtain the information. Thanks! Delaine Edwards
