Terri, Saw your query on Scott co. list. I am looking for more on the following Joseph L. Robinson who md Sarah Ann (Carpenter) Debenport/Davenport in 1861. He died before the next census. I have had trouble tracing Sarah Ann/Jane as she married 3 times each after the census year and all husbands died before the next. I do know they had 2 children Thomas and Tennessee. Tennessee is sometimes listed as Tennessee Fry, her 3rd husbands name, and she md a William Terry I believe. After 1870-80 they are in Scott Co. Ark. Any info would be greatly appreciated. About time to put this in again. who knows maybe some day I will find the elusive Morrow ancestors!! Still looking for information about the parents of my great grandfather, William Preston Morrow (descendnat outline below). His parents were supposedly both born in Indiana, although family stories say they may have been born in Ireland. W.P. may have had at least one brother, name unknown who had a son Ike Morrow who was born December 1886 in Arkansas and probably died in Oklahoma. He married Winnie M. Pitts July 10, 1910 in Scott County Arkansas. She was born March 1891 in Arkansas and probably also died in Oklahoma. Her parents were: Joseph W. "Billy" Pitts and Nancy M. Cain. W.P probably had a sister, Nancy A. Morrow who was born January 16, 1864? in Indiana and died May 23, 1927? in Scott County, Arkansas, buried at Blackfork Cemetery. She married James W. Jones, Jr.about 1881 in Scott County Arkansas. He was the brother of Melvina Jones who married William Preston Morrow. He was born March 1864 in Scott County, Arkansas and died after 1920. FRUEN is my maiden name. My father is Grady Fruen, his father is William Edward, and Will Ed's dad is Joseph Fruen. Joseph Fruen was born between 1834 and 1838 in England. I have no idea where in England. This information came from census records in Monroe Co and Yell Co AR. I do not know when he immigrated to the US or whether he came alone or with family. The first record I have of him is in 1861, which I found at familysearch.org. He married Cordelia DICKERSON, a widow in 1861 in Monroe Co AR. In 1862, a J C FRUIN enlisted in the Confederate Army and went AWOL the following month. He appears on the 1870 census of Monroe Co and the 1880 census of Yell Co. Cordelia acquired land through a federal land grant in 1883 in Yell Co AR, stating that she is the widow of Joseph FRUIN. (It was spelled Fruin on this record). Henry Calvin DICKERSON was in Yell Co in 1887, and paid personal property taxes. Josephine DICKERSON married William WALT in 1875, was home in 1880 as Josephine DICKERSON, all in Yell Co. I have not found anything further on Josephine. Evaline DICKERSON married J J SOLOMON in 1878 in Yell Co. Cordelia FRUEN and son Will FRUEN and family, daughter Evaline DICKERSON SOLOMON and family are later found in Scott Co AR. FRUEN/FRUIN, DICKERSON, WALT and SOLOMON + others Georgia Fruen Aeverman
