Beaty who would be willing to participate in a Beatty DNA project. I believe I share a common ancestor with Daniel L. Beaty's descendants and that both familes descend from Robert Beaty of Union County, SC. Here is a summary of Daniel L. Deed of Conveyance South Carolina Union District Know all whom it may concern that I MOSES BEATY of said state & district for and in consideration of the true love and parental affection I bear towards my daughter FRANCES now the wife of ELIJAH ROBINSON, I have this day and by these presents granted, bargained and given unto the sd Frances Robinson a certain parcel or tract of land containing fifty acres it being a part of the tract whereon I now live and having the following form, shapes and conditions Viz. The claim of land to commence at half way between the spring we now use water out of and a spring probably about eighty yards down said Spring branch, thence down said branch to the fork or confluence of sd branch and thence down sd branch called the Putman line & south to the mouth of a dram (?) old line as far as it may be required to make a straight line to the commencement and make the said fifty acres to have and to hold all the sd premises described unto her the said Frances Robinson and the Heirs of her body fo! r ever. But in case the said Frances Robinson should not have living issue then the said land to belong to my other two children JAMES L. D. and DANIEL L. Beaty at her death. And further I reserve to myself the right and privilege of building a distillery on said land and the use of water for the same at my place it may suit me and further I reserve if there may be found a Goldmine on sd land I hold and reserve three fourths of the same to myself & my other heirs. And I the said Moses Beaty hereby relinquish all right title and interest & claim to the said land except such exceptions as are already made and bind myself, my heirs and assigns to make good the above title unto the said Frances Robinson against myself or any persons lawfully claiming?? or any part thereof. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fix my seal this thirteenth day of September one thousand eight hundred and forty three and in Sixty eighth year of American Independence. Recorded May 6, 1845, Oath of Right Lancaster Union County Deed Book T13, pp 279-280 Moses Beaty to Churchwell Gibbs, both of Union County, South Carolina Deed for 23 acres on South side of the Main Road. Deed dated December 2, 1844; witnesses J. M. Robinson, Giles T. Smith; Casinda Beaty releases dower, signs my mark. Deed recorded March 6, 1845 Union County Deed Book V15, pages 244 -245 Moses Beaty to Jonas Swink Deed of Conveyance, 160 acres, The State of South Carolina Know all men by these presents, that I Moses Beaty, of Cherokee County, State of Georgia in consideration of five hundred and fifty dollars to me paid by Jonas Swink of Union District in the state aforesaid, have granted, bargained, sold and released and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and release unto the said Jonas Swink all that piece parcel or plantation of land, lying, being or situate in the District of Union & State of South Carolina lying on both sides of the road leading from Union Court House to Glenn Springs. It being a part of the same tract of land purchased by me from Amos Lee, containing one hundred and sixty acres more or less, for a particular description of said land reference being had to a plat of the same made by Joel Dean the 2nd of Sept. 1845 and hereunto attached will more fully appear (fifty four acres included in said plat is to be deducted, fifty acres of which is deeded to my daughter Frances B. Robinson the wife of Elijah Robinson and ! is to be taken out of the two hundred and fourteen acres included in the said plat according to the lines described in the said deed to Frances B. Robinson recorded in Clerks office Union District Book T No 13 page 288, the four acres are to be reserved to my sisters MARY & PATSY & ELIZABETH BEATY around the house formerly occupied by Solomon Hayes situate on the south western part of the said tract of land, the title of the said four acres are to remain in me reserved for the use of my sisters aforesaid. Together with all and singular the rights, members, hereditaments and appurtenances to the said premises belonging, or in any wise incident or appertaining, to have and to hold, all and singular the premises before mentioned, unto the said Jonas Swink his heirs and assigns forever. And I do hereby bind myself, my heirs, executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premises unto the said Jonas Swink & his heirs and assigns against m! e and my heirs and against all other persons whomsoever lawfully claim ing or to claim the said one hundred and sixty acres of land or any part thereof. Witness my hand and seal this ninth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six and in the seventy first year of the Independence of the United States of America.
