That is why I believe that G.W. may be Emelines son by a different man, but G.W. never kept his name. I was not able to find any local Sims in that Census. Could have been a traveler or a migrant farm worker. Or perhaps she took in a child from someone? Yes Jefferson Davis Roland was George Washington Roland's brother. However, I never knew he was a reverend. G.W. did move to Kaufman Texas With his firt wife Ida Chamness and her sister and family. They all lived within a few hoses of each other. They had my Grandfather, Johnny Mansel Roland. Then Ida died and G.W. married her sister that had been living with them. Then either she died or he divorced her and then married my Great Grandmother Donahue. She had a daughter named Lillian. Johnny and Lillian(step brother and step sister)fell in love and married.
