You mention Sims in a couple of posts, Two Rowland brothers, Amos and Thomas married two Sims sisters, Mary (Polly) and Elizabeth Sims, daughters of Littlepage Sims. This was in the Mississippi Territory. Amos Rowland (1790-abt 1850) m. Mary (Polly) Sims 12 Feb. 1813 Thomas Rowland (1792-1853) m. Elizabeth Sims 1812 Both of the large families ended up in Pulaski/Saline Co. Ark. My branch of Amos' family were in Henderson Co. TX by the 1860's. Several Rowlands came from Arkansas to Texas. However, I never knew he was a reverend. G.W. did move to Kaufman Texas With his firt wife Ida Chamness and her sister and family. They all lived within a few hoses of each other. They had my Grandfather, Johnny Mansel Roland. Then Ida died and G.W. married her sister that had been living with them. Then either she died or he divorced her and then married my Great Grandmother Donahue. She had a daughter named Lillian. Johnny and Lillian(step brother and step sister)fell in love and married. I do have SIMS, but only 7 and only two of those are female...neither of which is married to a Rowland. I have several Thomas Rowlands, but non married to a Sims.
