My Saline County, AR, Rowland heritage includes a SIMS. Thomas Rowland b. 1793 d. 04 July 1854 married Elizabeth SIMS b. 30 Nov 1792 d. 20 May 1853 Their son, Little Page Rowland b. 1817, AL, d. May 1864, AR married Vesta Ann McPherson b. 1829, TN d. before 1862, AR and their son, William Granville Rowland b. 04 July 1849 AR, d. 01 Mar 1926 AR married (1st wife) Sarah Ann Delilah Williams b. 1850 and their daughter, Laura Jane Rowland b. 1875 AR d. 1896 AR married David Morgan b. 1868-72, OKC???? d. ?????? IF any of you know any more info at all on Sarah Ann Delilah Williams-Rowland, Laura Jane Rowland-Morgan or David Morgan, then I would be very, very appreciative. But, back to the Sims name . . . Thomas Rowland did marry Elizabeth SIMS, so perhaps that is where the name comes in at. Perhaps more of her family moved here, once she did, and they married other Rowlands. A thought.
