Hi. I'm new to this list, and thanks to Gloria Nethercutt's transcription of the Fowler Cemetery, I have located my great grandmother's final resting place, and I was rewarded also with other immediate family members being there also. Although it is far too late to meet them, I feel there must be other members of my TAYLOR and/or PHILLIPS family still around the Saline Co. area. My great grandmother was Mattie M. TAYLOR PHILLIPS KELLEY/KELLY. I am looking for cousins who would be from the Dora B. PHILLIPS TAYLOR (Mattie's daughter) and William C. TAYLOR (Dora's husband) line. My great grandmother died, according to the headstone, in 1951, but I have no information as to the month or day. Who would I contact regarding a look-up of the Saline County death index and then a copy of her death notice or obituary? I still don't have a clue as to who her parents were, but according to my grandfather's birth certificate, as filled out by "Grandma Kelley," Mattie was born in Alabama. The cemetery information gives the year as 1860. I would truly love to speak with any cousins out there that are currently researching this line, and would like to make a connection with that part of my family I've never known. Charlie Ward
