Greetings to all. My name is Sharon. I live in south Texas. And I'm searching for a branch of my dearly loved WILLEY cousins, who my family lost contact with. Some of our oldest family members say we still have WILLEY cousins living in Saline County, Arkansas -- purportedly in or near a place called Bentonville. ( But no one has heard from any of this family "branch" in 15 - 20 years.) Is there even such a place called Bentonville ?? I did find a place called Benton, but not Bentonville, as my elders still insist. I found the burial site of two WILLEY 's who I believe are from our family. These two WILLEY's are buried in the Pipkin (Pitkin?) Cemetery, which appears to be near a town called Benton, in Saline County, Arkansas. Can any one tell me how to get in touch with the care-taker of this cemetery ?? Or what funeral homes may have arranged burials in Pipkins Cemetery during the 1930's and 1940's?? I am hoping to discover more about the family of the two WILLEY's who are buried in the Pipkin Cemetery. (Like who payed for the funeral and burial plots.) I am sure the Funeral and cemetery records will reveal useful infomation. HERE IS THE INFO FROM THE TOMBSTONES in the Pipkin Cemetery: W. R. Willey 1882 - 1940 Leonard LeRoy Willey 1908 - 1930 I believe these folks are my cousins, William R. WILLEY, and his son Leonard WILLEY. Since we have lost all the families address from a house fire, and don't know the married names of these WILLEY girls, all these dearly loved cousins are lost to us. So, I and all my family elders would be forever grateful for any help with finding our cousins and their descendants. Please read the additional info I have on this family bunch below. *NOTE: Some of the children's names and general info may be incorrect, so if anything sounds familar, please write to me. Don't let a few errors on my part stop you from writing, if you think we may have a family connection !! (I have a lot of family info and old photos to share.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~>>> Please read on >>>> William R. (Billy) Willey born about 1882 in Texas Note: William R. (Billy) WILLEY's wife Eva (ROBERTS) WiLLEY, had 3 siblings: (m) George Washington ROBERTS - born 1884 TX. -died 1963 OK. (Known as George ROBERTS) (f) Jimmie "Annie" (ROBERTS) HALL - born 1890 TX -died 1979 OK. (Known as Annie HALL) (f) Mary "Ada" (ROBERTS) OWENS -born 1892 TX -died 1985 OK. (Known as Ada OWENS) Note: I have lots more info on Eva (ROBERTS) WILLEY's siblings, with their spouses and children, as well as Eva's parents if needed. Years ago, Eva's siblings would visit her with some of their children. These children recall Eva and her husband "Billy Willey" were very sweet folks. Also the WILLEY children were very nice and lots of fun. The WiLLEY family place had delicious raspberries growing on the land. Eva's sister Jimmie Annie (ROBERTS) HALL, used to ride a train with her children, from Oklahoma to Arkansas to visit. Sadly, during one of the visit to the WILLEY home, (either) Eva's husband William, or her son Leonard died. I was told that after William R.(Billy) WILLEY died, Eva lived with her daughter Mildred for a while. Eva is supposed to have remarried at some point, but I don't know to whom. As far as I know Eva lived beside her daughter Mildred near "Bentonville" in Saline Co., Ark., until she became to old to stay alone. At which time Eva moved in with her daughter, and lived out the rest of her days there. Eva's sister, Mary "Ada" (ROBERTS) OWENS also visited Eva and the WILLEY family in Arkansas. "Ada" OWENS used to travel with her grown children ( mainly Ruth & Harvey Moeller) to visit Eva in Arkansas. So some of William WILLEY & Eva's grandchildren may remember an old Aunt "Ada". So WILLEY grandchildren's may have pictures of some HALL, OWENS, ROBERTS, and KINGSTON family relatives in their possession. They may also have pictures of MOORE, Simms, and SHANNON family relatives (just to name a few more). But if they don't have any pictures -- Don't worry -- We have lots to share !! My hope is to find our lost WILLEY family, so that we can share in the lives of our dear family again. Thank you for reading my long email, and for giving your attention to my request. And I'll thank you now for any help you may offer in the way of info or suggestions. Grateful Regards, Sharon
