Charlene, Our James family and the other families enumerated on the 1840 Saline census for Owen twp. pg 214 are families who were living in present day Holland twp., on the north fork of the Saline River near present day Paron, AR. You can order a township plat map from the Saline Co. Chamber of Commerce and then be able, from the resources Carolyn outlined above, find exactly where they lived.
