Linda, I'm sorry but I have no info on the Anderson family. I just wanted to make sure you are aware that when Grant County was formed in 1869, part of it was transferred from Saline County. The section of land you referenced (Sec 5, T6S, R13W) is in Grant County. It's about a mile and a half west of the present-day town of Cross Roads. My wife's ancestors lived in Davis Twp., Saline Co. in 1860 but in Davis Twp, Grant Co. in 1870. His Land Entry Record shows he purchased the land in 1857 while it was in Saline Co. but present Bureau of Land Management records show it under Grant County. Happy hunting!
