Hello Leon & List members! My name is Sharon. I live in Texas, and I'm searching for my cousins descending from our WILLEY family, which lived in Saline County (and some likely still do). I have written to you about them before, but I'm hoping you can help me with a marriage "look-up" on one of my cousins. (I tryed to send my request to Leon directly, but the address: moorelrm.swbell.net did not work.) Will you please check for: Leonard LeRoy WILLEY (born Aug.1909 - died Aug 6, 1930) likely married sometime between 1928 - 1930. He had at least one child. This child may have been born out of wedlock and carried the mother's maiden name, but I believe my cousin Leonard was married. What I do know is : In 1961 (or '63) someone named Virginia Durbin (or Durban) payed for my cousin's headstone, which reads: "Father" Leonard LeRoy Willey 1909 - 1930 This lady may have been my cousin's daughter or former wife. I have not been able to find out so far. The address given for Virginia Durbin / Durban was: Rt. 5, which later became 803 Sunset Salem Street, Benton / Salem, Ark.72015. (The Post Master said mail was delivered to that address for many years to persons with the surnames of: Durbin / Durban, and also Kennedy.) Information on the death Certificate for my cousin Leonard LeRoy WILLEY was given by Felix KERR of Benton, Ark. I appreciate your help with checking the marriage records of 1928 - 1930 for my cousin Leonard L. WILLEY. (You may come across marriage records for his sister's Mildred and Thelma WILLEY, during your search. They were likely married between the 1930s - '40s, but I'll ask about them another time.)
