Author: RayKennard Surnames: Classification: cemetery Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.arkansas.counties.saline/1532.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Thank you for alerting us about the cemetery. Here is a picture of the cemetery in 2005. http://www.ourfamilyties.us/Cemeteries/ar/saline/kirkpatrick/kirkpatrick.htm Quite a change! When I was there in 2005, I was informed that the developers would not mess with the cemetery and that was the reason the land had not been cleared and leveled. I am not a Kirkpatrick descendant but the land where the cemetery is located once belonged to my 2great-grandfather, John Alfred Medlock, who bought the land from Paisley Kirkpatrick's heirs. Author: DawnaJL Surnames: Simcox Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.arkansas.counties.saline/812.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: You indicated that Lotta aka Letty died in 1875. However, Letty is not with Thomas in the 1870 census, implying that she has already died by then. In the index to the 1870 Mortality Census (Ancestry.com) for Saline County, Arkansas is: Littie Simeon 46 born Alabama died Dec 1869 of consumption I believe that there is a misinterpretation of the handwriting and this is actually Lettie Simcox - the age and birthplace are right. I have seen Simcox misinterpreted as Simeon before. One who have to examine the original schedule to be sure. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
