I won't be too much help but we have a common denominator in Clarissa Lennie Williams and Stephen Tucker. Their daughter Harriet Lulu Tucker was my 3 great grandfather Enoch Anderson Rucker's second wife. I don't have all of Clarissa and Stephen's children so I can't confirm your great grandmother's parents. I also don't know if Clarissa died after giving birth to her and Enoch's last child together. Stephen and Clarissa had six children, their fourth child James Marcus TUCKER is the father of my Matilda Lennie TUCKER. I am looking for Matilda's mother. Is there any information you are wanting or trying to find? I would like to know Enoch's father and mother and also his first wife if you know or wouldn't mind giving out. Do you know if Harriet had Indian in her?,because Stephen and Clarissa came from LA and I seen a lot of WILLIAMS in a Indian Tribe there once when I was searching on my WILLIAMS. I stumbled across this because my stepson who is a Bryant fireman was helping clean up the old cemetary when he came across the Kirkpatrick name. Knowing that was my maiden name he asked me about it. I knew Paisley was my grandfather's middle name.He died before I was born. I also had an aunt Elizabeth and great uncle Lemuel and my dad had a brother who died at birth named Lemuel. Evidently the names were kept in the family. Paisley's son Joeseph,& grandson John Paisley are buried in the Old Rosemont cemetary in Benton. J.P.'s son, Samuel is buried in New Rosemont. He is my dad and was born in 1914 and died in 1992. I contacted the developer Fred Briner and discovered the old house is where he grew up. That is why it has not been destroyed. His ancestory is from the Medlock clan!!YThe old cemetary has been cleaned off and a plaque is even there for Lemuel who was killed in the civil war at the age of 20. I tried to submit photos of graves in the Sharon Cemetery in Saline County but the upload failed because my files were too large. All my photos are in jpeg and run about 1.5 to 2.5 mg. What is the maximum size allowed and how do I make them smaller? Anne Dixon Bryant Tootie Dennis <tootied@suddenlink.net> wrote: Greetings Arkansas Researchers, I wouldlike to invite you to check out the Arkansas Gravestone Photo Project and participate in its growth as it will only grow with everyone's involvement. The Arkansasgravestones.org is a wonderful tool to preserve the headstones of your ancestors. With the advent of time and weather and vandalism, our headstones are disappearing at an alarming rate. We need to work on preserving a digital image of our family stones as a fitting tribute to our ancestors. This site is an easy-to-use site that exists to make this preservation possible. Additionally there is no cost to the contributor or to anyone wanting to view the photos, hard to find in this day and age where everything costs something. Plus this is a great way to have a backup for all those photos you presently have. There are no annoying ads flashing, moving or popping. Particularly valuable are those very old headstone photos that you have in grandma's photo album. Scan them into your computer and add them to the site as they may be the only testament to your ancestors life. Share them with the world. Ms Linda Cross, There are a couple articles written about the family of James Calvin "Tobe" and Mary Jane (McDonald) Young at the research room of Saline Co., History & Heritage Society in Benton, AR. It's been years since I read them, I don't remember if the told anything about his death or where he was buried, but it might be worth checking them out. They are Saline Co. Recollection of Early Settlers, Dec 1986, The McDonald Family, p. 77, and the Book, Familyscope, written by James Marion Horn in 1936, p. 355. Greetings Arkansas Researchers, I wouldlike to invite you to check out the Arkansas Gravestone Photo Project and participate in its growth as it will only grow with everyone's involvement. This is link for the Arkansasgravestones.org GPP Arkansasgravestones.org has just come on line. We are presently working to get it setup and we would invite you to check it out. Also, I am asking for your help, please add your photos to the site. Every county will have space. I am your Arkansas State coordinator and I am truly excited about being involved. If you need help in adding your pictures i will be glad to help....another great way to save a grave. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at tootied@suddenlink.net to respond to this message. Many of you know me for my SHARP research. Any one interested in hosting any of the counties i would like to hear from you. For you information there are 11 more states with the gravestones.org sites and more are being added. Thank you very much!
