Looking for descendants of Drucilla Bridges, who was called "Dude." She married William Newman, had three daughters, and died young. Drucilla was born between 1824 and 1829 in SC or GA. That is all the information I have on her. Drucilla was the daughter of Benjamin F. Bridges and Mary Henagan, of Marlboro, SC, and GA. The family moved to Arkansas from Georgia in the early 1840s, settling in Pulaski County by 1845. Her family stopped in Alabama long enough for the mother, Mary Henagan Bridges, to have the youngest child. It is possible that Drucilla could have married in Alabama. Drucilla was the sister of Pulaski Co. pioneers John Wesley Bridges, Ann Bridges Conway, Jane Bridges Hogan, Dr. Benjamin Bridges, Dr. Frank Bridges of the 19th and early 20th century.
